Finding the date of the first and last purchase for each user is a very popular data task. And it's super easy to solve! I'll show you now, and don't forget to subscribe to my channel!

We have a sales data table, and we need to find the date of the first and last purchase for each customer.
First, let's create a list of our customers using the =UNIQUE() function. Then, for each customer ID, we find the minimum date value using the =MINIFS() function.
Our first argument is the column with dates. The second is the search criterion, the column with our customers' IDs, and the third argument is the actual ID of our customer for whom we are finding the date of the first purchase.
We find the date of the last purchase using the same logic with the =MAXIFS() function.
Then, we drag the formulas to the end of the table.
