(14 Sep 2014) Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan led thousands of supporters in a protest against the government in Pakistan's capital on Sunday.
Khan, who heads the country's third largest political block, said he would not end his protest in Islamabad until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigned over alleged voting fraud in last year's election.
Khan and anti-government cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri arrived in the capital last month in a massive convoy of supporters who had set out from the eastern city of Lahore.
Since then, thousands of demonstrators have been camped outside parliament demanding Sharif step down.
The protesters remained peaceful until 30 August, when they tried to storm the prime minister's residence, prompting police to fire tear gas and rubber bullets.
Three people were killed in the melee and hundreds more were wounded.
