On May 16 and 17, 2023, the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) hosted the international conference "Building Bridges for the Next Generations". Young researchers from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and other Central and Eastern European countries in Dresden were able to network with international colleagues as well as stakeholders from business, society and politics. The highlight of the conference was the panel discussion between the Minister-President of the Free State of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala and the Polish Secretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland, Wojciech Murdzek, and young researchers from Eastern and Central Europe.
