Today, we dined at Raisu, a modern Japanese restaurant. I’ll introduce the dishes we tried and share my quick impressions. For a more detailed review, please refer to my comments below, as the video may not capture everything, especially with kids in tow.

Sashimi Salad: The salad featured a mix of greens, arugula, pickles, red onions, and diced sashimi (salmon, tuna, Hamachi), topped with Ikura. The vinegar-soy vinaigrette was well-balanced and complemented the dish nicely.

Pork Cutlet Curry Udon: This was a request from my son. The curry came in an oversized bowl, which was impractical and made it difficult to eat. The pork cutlet was moist and crispy, and the curry sauce was flavorful with a hint of spice. However, the cutlet lost its crispiness as it soaked in the sauce.

Spicy Lobster Uni Cream Udon: The udon was chewy, and the broth had a good depth of flavor, though I didn’t taste much uni. The saffron was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the lobster was a letdown; it seemed to be frozen and was dry and lacking in freshness.

Mixed Cutlet Teishoku: The pork cutlet was juicy, and the Wagyu beef croquette was crispy, moist, and well-seasoned. The shrimp croquette had more potato than shrimp but was crispy on the outside and moist inside.

Crispy Seafood Sushi: The fried rice bottom provided a pleasant crispiness, and the seafood (diced tuna and salmon) was topped with a creamy sauce. It was a good bite but not extraordinary.

Deluxe Seafood Bowl: For $48, I expected better quality. The bowl included basic salmon, tuna, Hamachi, prawns, scallops, and some minced seafood, but the quality was mediocre. The rice was good, but overall, it didn’t justify the price.

Miso Grilled Pork: The initial bite was good, but subsequent pieces were overly fatty and the pork didn’t seem well-grilled. It also wasn’t served warm.

To start, the kids had Coke, my husband had a beer, and I had a plum mojito. Unfortunately, the plum flavor was subtle, and the mojito was nothing special.

Overall, the restaurant offers a decent variety of food, with some dishes better than others. I would recommend trying it at least once to form your own opinion. For me, this visit was sufficient, and while I’ve ticked it off my list, I’m not sure if I’d return. Thank you for watching, and I hope this review helps!
