LIVE | Funeral for Newark firefighter Augusto Acabou

The Funeral Mass for Newark Firefighter Augusto "Augie" Acabou is being held at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Entombment to follow will be private.

Acabou, 45, and Wayne "Bear" Brooks Jr., 49, both made the ultimate sacrifice just over one week ago.

The two Newark firefighters were killed in a cargo ship fire at Port Newark.
