Here, Manililikha ng Bayan Magdalena Galinato Gamayo continues to weave Inabel—the storied textile once traded for gold during the Galleon era. Each pattern—binakol, inuritan, kusikos, sinan-sabong—is a testament to resilience and rhythm.

When Tatler and HSBC visited her and fellow artisans at the Pinili Inabel centre, we saw craftsmanship that mirrors a 150-year legacy of connection. Like the unique artistry of Nana Magdalena’s textiles, HSBC’s story is built on precision and care—threads of heritage, integrity, connection and care woven across generations.

In both weaving and banking, the art lies not in the threads alone, but in the harmony that holds them together.
