So we can make it easy to understand and practice this special intonation pattern that will help you communicate when speaking English...and also help you understand more of the meaning in the English you hear from native speakers (as well as sophisticated non-native English speakers ✨).

Pronunciation is important when speaking English, of course. But for delivering a clear, persuasive message, intonation is just as important. Improve your spoken English with this one essential intonation pattern: CONTRAST INTONATION.

In fact, native speakers feel contrast intonation to be the MOST important English intonation pattern! ANY time we have a situation where we can COMPARE or CONTRAST two things, we have a deep subconscious NEED to highlight that contrast with our voice - with a special intonation that we feel we simply MUST use.

Here I give you one memorable example of contrast intonation...which actually turns out to be a great quote from the amazing Oprah Winfrey.

We analyze the quote and practice it together, as a way to prepare your mind to notice the CONTRAST intonation that is happening in the English all around you. Noticing and practicing this pattern is the first step to using it yourself.
