In this video, I unbox and review Greg from the new Fade Collection from the Naturalistas line by Purpose Toys. I take a close 360 view of the doll's screening, outfit and accessories. I also remove his clothing and examine his articulation.

Purpose Toys – a Black-owned toy company focusing on Black experiences and characters – and its founder and CEO DeeDee Wright-Ward are expanding on the brand and Wright-Ward’s flagship brand Naturalistas – a natural hair fashion doll line – with the release of Naturalistas’ new Fade Collection.

The Fade Collection is a line of 11.5-inch contemporary “cultural action figures,” as described by Purpose Toys, that Wright-Ward said aims to “celebrate the warmth and influence of Black barber culture, our unique approach to expression through hair, and overall celebration of cuts, community and culture.”

Purpose Toys’ Fade Collection currently includes its debut character, Greg, who comes with a short and neat haircut and traditional line-up with his hair “curved and faded at the temple,” per a release. Greg also has a character story that celebrates education, entrepreneurship and an overarching connection to community.

The Fade Collection will be available for distribution through Purpose Toys this October, is currently being sold at Target, with additional characters to be announced in the future.
