EarthQuaker Devices Plumes & Westwood overdrives: Both better than transparent, but which is best?

Let's compare two classy tone-sweetening medium-gain overdrive pedals – and find out how to make the fairly cheap one sound spookily similar to the much more expensive one.

To set up this video I first got a really nice crunchy sound on the Westwood (which isn't exactly difficult) then tried to match it for gain, EQ and output level on the Plumes. How do you think it turned out? Which one do you prefer?

Bear in mind the Westwood has much more powerful tone controls, and that's really what you're paying the extra for; but the core tones of the two pedals are a lot closer than I was expecting.
