A comparison of the worlds first lecture on skratch notation, which was presented by dj Raedawn at New York University on April 12, 2000, and Dj A-traks attempt to plagiarize Raedawn's TTM skratch notation system later that year at Skratchcon2000. Prior to all of these video presentations on skratch notation, Dj Raedawn had already released two books on the subject called "The Fundamentals"(1999) and "TTM 1.0" (2-17-2000) The video also depicts Atrak giving two different dates regarding when he says he invented skratch notation. In front of an audience at Red Bull academy in Cape Town South Africa, he sayd he had come up with it a few years prior. This would fall in line with when he first presented his appropriation of TTM in July of 2000. Yet at that show in San Francisco in the summer of 2000, he claimed to have invented skratch notation in the year 1996 without presenting any proof of such invention. In 2011, A-trak told Vogue.it that he actually invented skratch notion even though he is seen on video saying he saw TTM before he made his own first presentation. Since then his press team has told numerous media outlets that he created skratch notation. We well cover the misinformation re-published by these outlets in part two of this educational series.
