UB:25 Custom Shop Fender Telecaster Ltd Edition 61 - WOW!! - Has this just replaced my Stratocaster?

Fender Custom Shop Telecaster 1961 Limited Edition in Aged Sherwood Green - Relic. Hand-Wound Twisted Tele & Original Blackguard pick-ups - Fabulous Combination!!!

In a previous video, I did a review on my Fender Telecaster American Professional series 1 2019 build guitar, see the review here - (    • UB:24 USA Fender Tele Pro Butterscotc...  ), and asked the question, should I replace it? and get along to a music store to try out different models covering the 1950s and 60s Telecaster periods to help determine what I was looking for. In this video I unbox and review one of the most expressive guitars I have owned. The pick-ups are Hand-Wound, an Original Black Guard Single-Coil for that classic Telecaster Twang at the bridge, and to compliment and off-set that at the neck, a Twisted Telecaster Single-Coil giving a more mellowed-out tone. Love them or hate them, this particular model has a moderate Custom Shop relic finish which I prefer for a number of reasons and if that topic interests you I have done a review on that here - (   • V9: Playing Guitar 40 years on… My Fi...  ).

The body is Alder and the quarter sawn maple neck with AAA dark rosewood fingerboard sports 21 narrow tall 6105 frets and all worn-in to make for a fabulous playing experience. There are those who would say, a Telecaster is all you need, and while that is quite a broad statement and open to debate, this particular Telecaster model certainly shows off its ability to cover so many tonal choices. Having owned the guitar for just a short period of time I had decided to swap-out the pickguard for something I felt was more in-keeping of the style and you can see that replacement guard fitting video here - (   • UB:30 Telecaster Pickguard Change - S...  ).
