Before K-Pop was king, J-Pop ruled the airwaves and its undisputed (and reigning) Queen is none other than Namie Amuro.

The pop-pixie made her debut here in here 20-year career to promote her new album, 'Uncontrolled' but despite the album's name, Amuro seems to be in control.

When asked about the rising popularity of K-Pop, Amuro gamely said, ""K-pop is really popular in Japan and many amazing artists do have concerts in Japan and I've also gone to see them. They also have great music and I think it's a good musical exchange for both sides."

Speaking at a press conference at Ku De Ta Singapore on 6 July 2012, Amuro said: "I'd really love to hold a concert in Singapore and if that really comes through, I hope all of you can come to my concert."

Her visit was in support of her album, "Uncontrolled" which was released on 27 June. She even dropped by Dragonfly on 7 July for 'Amuro Night' to surprise her fans who made their way there o party to her music and watch her official touring troupe of dancers performed live for the first time in Singapore.
