1. Abadhu jugat jol santosh paatr karo
Ane danda karo vichaar
Khamiya daya-ki doy mundra pahero
Ginan karjo aahaar abadhu

Abdhu te jogi joog maa(n)he
Jaako man duja re naahi
Abdhu te jogi joog maa(n)he

2. Abadhu Gur mera ginan veraagki indri
Ane sangam karo bhabhoota
Saach dharam sach kari dhiyaavo
To jogi hay abdhuta abadh

3. Abadhu chaando suraj doy roki raakho
Ane man chint dharo is dandi
Sukhmanna tanti vaajann laagi
E bhed kise-j khandi

4. Abadhu sab avagunn tajo trivenni nahaavo
Ane anhad naad bajaao
Kahe Pir Shams jivant mariye
To avarath janam na paavo

Translation:

1. O saint (ascetic)! Make the methods of Bandagi your pouch, contentment your vessel, and thoughts your staff. Adorn the earrings of forgiveness and compassion, and make knowledge your food. O saint! A true saint in this world is one whose heart is not attached to any other thing. He is the saint in this world.

2. O saint! My spiritual guide is the means of my knowledge and perception of renunciation, so make his company your ashes. Firmly practice the true faith for the one who practices this, is a true saint.

3. O saint! Stop the rise and fall of the breath and concentrate your heart and thoughts at this point, then the third channel starts to reverberate. This mystery has been penetrated by very few.

4. O saint! Forsake all evil, bathe at the unison of three rivers and keep on playing the unending (spiritual) instrument. Pir Shams (r.a.) says: Die while you live, then you will not be born again.
