This is the reason why state BJP president Sunil Jakhar announced that the party will contest alone on all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab... BJP state president Sunil Jakhar said on Tuesday, 'After the opinion of the people and workers, BJP has decided to contest the elections alone in the state. Decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections alone. He said that peace and tranquility of border Punjab is the only path to strong progress of India and for the betterment of all sections of the state, BJP has decided to contest the elections alone... In Punjab, BJP has to face the demand of MSP on crops. Farmers are facing opposition. However, BJP state president Jakhar also claimed that in the last 10 years, farmers' crops have been purchased at the minimum support price.... Akali Dal was one of the oldest allies of BJP. However, it broke ties with the NDA in September 2020 over the now-repealed agricultural laws.

पंजाब में बीजेपी अकेले ही लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ेगी. दरअसल यहां बीजेपी अकाली दल के साथ गठबंधन को लेकर बातचीत कर रही थी. हालांकि दोनों दलों के बीच सीट बंटवारे को लेकर बात नहीं बन पाई. यही वजह है कि प्रदेश बीजेपी अध्यक्ष सुनील जाखड़ ने ऐलान किया पंजाब की सभी 13 लोकसभा सीटों पर पार्टी अकेले ही चुनाव लड़ेगी...बीजेपी के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सुनील जाखड़ ने मंगलवार को कहा, ‘लोगों और कार्यकर्ताओं की राय के बाद बीजेपी ने प्रदेश में अकेले ही लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला किया. उन्होंने कहा कि सरहदी पंजाब की अमन-शांति ही भारत की मजबूत तरक्की का रास्ता है और राज्य के सभी वर्गों की बेहतरी के लिए बीजेपी ने अकेले चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला किया है....पंजाब में बीजेपी को फसलों पर एमएसपी की मांग को लेकर किसानों को विरोध का सामना करना पड़ रहा है. हालांकि बीजेपी प्रदेश अध्यक्ष जाखड़ ने यह भी दावा किया कि पिछले 10 साल में किसानों की फसल न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य पर खरीदी गई है....अकाली दल बीजेपी के सबसे पुराने सहयोगियों में से एक था. हालांकि, उसने अब निरस्त किए गए कृषि कानूनों को लेकर सितंबर 2020 में एनडीए से नाता तोड़ लिया था.
