The family of Elianne Andam say their lives have "fallen apart" after the 15-year-old was stabbed to death in Croydon, south London.

The family issued a statement saying their "dreams have been shattered" and Elianne was the "light of our lives".

Hundreds of people attended a vigil for the teenager, who was on her way to school when she was attacked on Wednesday morning.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the killing.
