The 2024 Genesis GV80 has come in for a midlife facelift, but the big news is the large Korean luxury SUV is now also available in a new ‘coupe’ body style that rivals the Audi Q8, BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and even the Porsche Cayenne Coupe.

There’s no more four-cylinder turbo-petrol or six-cylinder turbo-diesel power – and no sign of the mild-hybrid tech offered outside Australia – but the big new Genesis GV80 Coupe does pack a powerful twin-turbo petrol V6.

What’s more, it commands a relatively small price premium over the GV80 SUV and comes packed to the rafters with opulent equipment, as Nadine Armstrong discovers in our first drive.
