Rolling Stock: Alstom Comet V Cab Car 6004 w/ it's Unrestricted Nathan K5LA horn leads Train 3279 bound for Long Branch with six Comet IV/IIM trailer cars in between and Bombardier ALP-46 #4623 pushes the set.

Finally, at long last, I get to ride 6004 leading to Long Branch because most of the time, I have seen it heading to New York Penn Station. Funny thing is that my friend took this train to Rahway from Middletown with 6004 facing east (as Train 3202) and I end up taking the same train back (on Train 3279) with 6004 facing towards Long Branch.

I was planning on filming at New York Penn Station all the way to Middletown, but I was too lazy to do so, I didn't expect 6004 to be on my train, and my phone battery was dead (thus the voice memo at the end with a beast engineer at the controls as 6004 raced out of the Hudson River Tunnels). Only when headed outbound, the engineers tend to blow the horns, but since this was 6004, it sounds much more beastly, due to the echoes and mainly because the engineer was blowing the horn fully.

Also, the funny thing is that the whole time I was on this train, I could not get some shuteye even though I dozed off because the horn would always buzz me up and so would the announcements, but mainly the horn.

At South Amboy, you can also see Comet V Cab Car 6083 trailing on Train 3276 towards New York Penn Station, which means that it is no longer on the Hoboken Division and is back after 6 long months :). Also, as you can tell, the conductor states how there is only one restroom on the train (in 6004, of course) and it is in shitty condition (a small stream can be seen coming out of the restroom as I exited).
