Solving Hunger by Solving Food Waste | Vince Hall | TEDxSDSU

Описание к видео Solving Hunger by Solving Food Waste | Vince Hall | TEDxSDSU

Virtually everything we’ve been taught about solving hunger is wrong--all the food we need to end hunger is already in our communities every day. Vince Hall is the CEO of Feeding San Diego, the county’s leading hunger relief organization and a member of Feeding America. Hunger is a daily struggle for an eighth of San Diegans, including 127,000 children. Under Vince’s leadership, Feeding San Diego is innovating creative new approaches to rescuing healthy food which would otherwise go to waste, and using it to provide over 26 million meals per year across the county. Vince has extensive nonprofit and public sector management experience, including serving as Staff Director for Governor Gray Davis. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from San Diego State University and a law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
