O Wondrous Type, O Vision Fair (ELY) - Beautiful Old Hymn

Happy Friday! I am looking forward to Saturday for some relaxing, walking and soaking up some more of this gorgeous late summer weather. The first verse of this hymn describes how Christ "When brighter than the sun He glows." I feel His warmth, his brightness in my heart when I turn my face to the sun. That thought reminds me of another hymn I learned in my time in a morning prayer circle in Germany, "...when I fall down on my knees, with my face to the rising sun, O Lord, have mercy on me". 🌤️ ✝️ 🧎🏽‍♀️ 🩷

Of glory that the Church shall share,
Which Christ upon the mountain shows
When brighter than the sun He glows.

2 With shining face and bright array,
Christ deigns to manifest today
What glory shall be theirs above
Who joy in God with perfect love.
