Battle of Methven 1306

The battle of Methven in 1306 where Robert the Bruce's army suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Edward I military commander, Aymer de Valence, Earl of Pembroke.

De Valence was a great adversary of the Bruce and he would later fight against him at the battle of Bannockburn and play his part in leading king Edward II off the field of battle to safety.
