Give the gift of education and child care!

Morningstar Learning Center’s mission is to develop and connect Big Sky's young children and families by providing reliable childcare, quality early education, and supportive resources from planning through parenthood.

Morningstar Learning Center (MLC) is the only full-time child care in Big Sky, serving children from 3 months through 4 years. Being in a resort community with an extremely high cost of living, MLC works hard not only to keep our program excellent, but also to keep it affordable for our hardworking local families.

The vital importance of MLC to the community cannot be overstated. We currently serve 49 children, their 42 families, and their 56+ local employers. Over our 18 years serving the Big Sky community, most local businesses have had at least one employee rely on MLC's program to enable them to work. Some of our larger employers have had dozens of employees use MLC over the years!

Of course, while our services enable local families to participate in the workforce, our true passion is educating children. Birth through five are the most critical years for brain development in a person's life, and at MLC, we are serious about our responsibility to nurture Big Sky's youngest residents. We teach from the highest quality early learning curriculum and use the natural beauty of our community as a teaching partner, as our young learners begin to understand how to express their emotions, how to treat their friends, and how to interact with the world around them.

Child care is a notoriously low-paying yet expensive industry, and at MLC we strive to support our teachers and our families thanks to generous private donations. We hope you will help us keep child care in Big Sky accessible and affordable by supporting us this year!
