Walking around new Development St Andrews Park Uxbridge | (RAF Uxbridge) January 2023

RAF Uxbridge was quite the historical gem! It served as a Royal Air Force station in Uxbridge, England from the time of the First World War all the way until 2010. During the Battle of Britain in 1940, it was the center of operations for Fighter Command and was tasked with defending the skies over London and Southeast England. It's fascinating to think about the important role that this base played during such a crucial time in history. Nowadays, the site has been repurposed for commercial and residential use, which I think is pretty cool. But, it's important to remember the rich history that took place there.
