"A missed pill is one that is 24 or more hours late" (BNF). If a patient misses one pill it should be taken as soon as she remembers with no additional precautions necessary. However if she misses 2 or more then she would need to take a pill as soon as she remembers as well as taking extra precaution for the next 7 days*****
