House Republicans left a critical party meeting Wednesday morning still unclear what plan they will unify around to try to address rising health care costs.

"Certainly I'm in favor of PBM reform, health savings accounts, association healthcare plans, various other ideas," said Rep. Kevin Kiley of California. "Are any of those things going to become law and help people by the time of this cliff that's coming at the end of the year? No."

Republican Sen. Josh Hawley says there needs to be an effort to create a bipartisan healthcare compromise plan.

"I'm in favor of doing whatever it takes to try to reach a solution on this, and I would just urge the party's leadership, I mean the guys who control the floor, Senator Thune controls the floor. Senator Schumer obviously leads his caucus," said Hawley. "I mean, I think that they ought to get into a room and start hammering out a compromise, and if that involves others of us, there's a bunch of us who are willing and eager to try to find a way forward on this, and I think we've got to, bottom line, we have got to help the American people with their health care costs."
