Today, 14th March 2024, the statement of changes to immigration rules was announced. In this video, I reveal what the changes mean for international students in the UK who wish to switch to a Skilled Worker Visa after their Student or Graduate Visa. I also delve into the significant details of how you can qualify for the New Entrant Rule (and get a salary discount), empowering you with the knowledge to make informed decisions.

So, there is a minimum salary level and a salary requirement for a particular role. You have to meet the highest threshold. The SOC2020 levels have been updated with higher rates, so you need to check what is 70% for your desired position. For many junior roles, it is still going to be £30,960. So do not stress out too much!

It is good news; the £38,700 salary threshold will not apply for many international students switching from a Student/Graduate Visa to a Skilled Worker Visa.
