Abeysekera's mother, Sobhani, is a dancer by profession and was a ballet student of Oosha Saravanmuttu. He is from a family of social workers and artists. Abeysekera's grandfather, Ariyananda Abeysekara, was the founder of the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement. Abeyeskera's ethnicity is still unknown as his, and his parents' roots are not clear. Neither his family details, including his siblings, are known yet.

Olivier Awards ජාත්‍යන්තරව පිළිගෙන තියෙන්නේ බ්‍රිතාන්‍යයේ වේදිකා නාට්‍ය රංගන ශිල්පියෙක්ට දිනාගත හැකි ඉහළම සම්මානයක් ලෙසට !! 2020 දී මේ සම්මානය හිමිකරගන්නේ Andrew Scott විසින්. ඉතින් මේක ලෙහෙසි පහසු සම්මානයක් නෙමෙයි!

හිරාන් අබේසේකර කොළඹ නාලන්දා විද්‍යාලයේ ඉගෙනුම ලැබූ අතර පසුව ලංකා ළමා හා යොවුන් රඟහල පදනමෙන් (known as Somalatha Subasinghe Playhouse) රංගනය පිළිබද ඩිප්ලෝමාවක් ලබාගෙන, 2007 දී බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය කවුන්සිලයේ (British Council) නිෂ්පාදනයක් වූ Peter Shaffer ගේ "Equus" කියන වේදිකා නිශ්පාදනයේ ප්‍රධාන චරිතය රගපෑමේ අවස්තාව හිමිකරගන්නවා. මෙය ඔහුට එක්සත් රාජධානියේ නාට්‍ය පාසල් වලට ඇතුල් වීමේ auditions වලට මග පාදන අතර ඔහු එමගින් එංගලන්තයේ රාජකීය නාට්‍ය කලා ඇකඩමියට (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) ඇතුල් වීමේ භාග්‍ය හිමිකරගන්නේ එම අවස්තාව ලද දෙවනි ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයා බවට පත්වෙමින්.
වේදිකාවට අමතරව හිරාන් 2018-2019 වර්ශ හීදී Hulu platform එකේ විකාශය වුණ "Find Me in Paris" නම් කතා මාලාවේ ද රගපෑමෙන් දායක වෙලා තියෙනවා. ඉතින් හිරාන්ට සුබම සුබ අනාගතයක් ප්‍රාර්ථනා කරනවා!
