Gifts to endowment are "like planting seeds" for an organization's future. Just as members employ #collectivegiving to fund #communityimpact grants, donations to an endowment are another type of collective funding for an organization's long-term sustainability. Christina cites the example of the Washington Women's Foundation and their endowment that contributes support for the organization's annual budget, in addition to the corpus that exists in perpetuity.
