Here's something I forgot to mention in the video: If you don't want to remove your headstock decal, I believe you can still use this method. You are only scuffing up the poly finish, not removing it. You should be able to scuff up the finish over the whole neck with steel wool, including over the decal. The Angelus dye would then be applied over the entire neck, including the decal, I can't see why you would have different results this way. But, be sure to spray at least two coats of poly over the entire neck after dyeing it.
