Dassam is a well known water falls in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Very few people know that there is another water fall a few meters ahead of the Dassam. The local people said this waterfall is called Milan this is also known a Ojey fall. This kind of transcending waterfalls indicate to the poly-cyclic landform of the Chhotanagpur plateau. The land of this region is older than the Himalayas. Geological researches have found the the Himalayas to be about 50 million years old while the Rocks near Ranchi are 950 million years old.
While enjoying the beauty of water falls we must accept that they have great prospects for Geo Tourism.
