1. What is NUMS and NUMS MDCAT?

NUMS stands for National University of Medical Sciences. It's a medical university that has 13 private colleges (Including 5 institutes of dentistry) under it and 1 Public college. In order to get admission in these colleges, Nums conducts its OWN SEPARATE ENTRY TEST called the Nums MDCAT.

2. How is it different from normal MDCAT?

Provincial MDCAT and Nums MDCAT are two separate tests. Nums test is only for Nums affiliated colleges, while provincial MDCAT is for the rest of the public and private colleges of Pakistan.

3. Is it important to pass provincial MDCAT for getting admission in Nums colleges?

No, passing provincial mdcat is not compulsory. Only NUMS MDCAT will be counted.

Paper pattern includes:

150 MCQs from Biology, Chem, Physics and English (2.5 hours)

100 MCQs Psychological portion (30 minutes)

Note: Only 5% of this portion will be counted in your exam.
