Cycle Against Suicide (www.cycleagainstsuicide.com) 2015 starts in Belfast on Monday, April 27th and finishes in Dublin on Sunday May 10th. Each day, for 14 days, an average of 100km (60 miles) will be cycled.

This year, we will spread the message even further that ‘it’s ok to not feel ok; and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help’. In order to deepen the impact at a community level, Founder of Cycle Against Suicide, Jim Breen, will run the entire route one month prior to the main event, in reverse. He will be joined for some of this Run for Cycle Against Suicide, by some well known personalities from the sporting world, including Sonia O’Sullivan and Gerry Duffy.

Why?
1.0 To encourage people to register for the 14 day Cycle
2.0 To mobilise support for the upcoming Cycle by seeking out volunteers and homestay providers in particular
3.0 To access new communities previously untouched by Cycle Against Suicide and its core message
4.0 To visit prisons, businesses and voluntary groups – all of whom are critical audiences to the Cycle Against Suicide’s Movement

The Run for Cycle Against Suicide will kick off in Dublin on Monday, March 30th and will finish in Belfast on Sunday, April 26th 2015. Each day, an average of 50km (31 miles) will be run.

At the start of each day, Jim and team are inviting local schools and community groups to get behind this unique grassroots activity and join in a 5km Fun Run/Walk organised in conjunction with Athletics Ireland.

At the end of each day, a mental health presentation will take place in local community halls, businesses, voluntary organisations or prisons.
