Sporting a classic long-tube Newtonian reflector design, the Orion SpaceProbe 130 EQ Reflector Telescope provides great all-around viewing performance. One minute you can be studying lunar crater formations at high power; the next, the ethereal glow of a nebular star factory. A few minutes later, the SpaceProbe 130 EQ can wow you with the ringed visage of Saturn. All served in crisp detail by way of the SpaceProbe 130 reflector telescope's light-gathering 130mm (5.1") primary mirror with a versatile 900mm focal length (f/6.9). The reflector telescope's primary mirror lies at the base of the rolled-steel optical tube, which is outfitted with a smooth-adjusting rack-and-pinion focuser.

The Orion SpaceProbe 130 EQ Reflector Telescope weighs just 26.5 lbs. assembled, so transport to the backyard is easily manageable. For even better results, we recommend taking the SpaceProbe to a dark-sky location with minimal streetlights around so your views will enjoy optimal contrast. Thanks to its convenient portability - the optical tube measures 32.5" in length, and the tripod is collapsible - it's easy to pack up the SpaceProbe 130 in the car for excursions to places where starry skies sparkle.
