Le Mans 2003 14 laps - Racing for Holland Dome S101

Описание к видео Le Mans 2003 14 laps - Racing for Holland Dome S101

The Dome S101 was a successful open prototype endurance racecar used by privateer teams. It was fitted with a Judd V10 engine.
Racing for Holland was a Dutch team, founded by Jan Lammers. This team won the FIA Sportscar Championships in 2002 and 2003, and an overall 3rd place in 2001. A stunning performance considering they competed against Audi, Bentley, Cadillac, Courage, Panoz, and offcourse Dome.
Despite the outstanding driver line-up and previous results, Talkline withdrew their sponsorship in 2000, and Conrad in 2001.
In typical Dutch fashion, the team could not find any major sponsors, so they came up with the iconic chequered livery. Every black or white block was for sale and anyone could put their name on it.
After 10 years, the team folded.
Their best result in the 24 hours of Le Mans was 6th place overall (1st place for privateers).
Some familiar drivers were: John Bosh, Jeroen Bleekemolen, Val Hillebrand and last but not least Jos Verstappen and Jan Lammers.
The Dome S101 would be replaced with the (unfortunately) unsuccessful S102 and S102.5.
This particular car still exists. It has been restored, is in private hands and is active in classic racing.
