Detective Ron Gosage sat at his desk drinking coffee. It was just after noon on December 28th 1996, and the investigation into what happened to JonBenet Ramsey two days prior was finally beginning to resemble an organized police operation. Like his partner Detective Steve Thomas, Gosage came to Boulder from Wheat Ridge, spent some time on the SWAT team, and had since been assigned to crimes against persons. As Thomas walked up to his desk that morning, his long hair betraying his recent move from the undercover narcotics unit, Gosage greeted his old friend with something of an understatement: “we’ve got some problems with this thing.” Welcome back to The Lore Lodge...
