Today I read the beautifully illustrated picture book, "The Dance Teacher" Words by Simon Milne and illustrated by Chantal Stewart.

"The Dance Teacher" is a timeless story about effort and reward, in the context of ballet. It highlights the importance of perseverance and hard work, and celebrates the relationship between pupil and teacher.

The story targets girls, ages 4 - 8 years of age, and is perfect for budding ballerinas!

A few questions to ponder:
Can you relate to Isabelle? Have you ever worked really hard at something? A sport? A hobby? A craft? Playing an instrument? Or reading? What did you have to do to get better at your skill? What sacrifices did you have to make?
Who helped you along the way as you were training? What advice did they give you?
What did you like about the book? What stood out? Could the author have done anything to make it even better?
