This screen-capture tutorial is for anyone in using the beautiful handwritten Arabic Quran text that is found on quran.com and also in printed Mushafs. Unfortunately quran.com does not explain how to use that text. I have been asked this question many times, so this is on popular demand more than anything else. I plan to post more tutorials.
The quran Arbic text on quran.com is vectorized from a scanned copy of the handwritten Mushaf written by Uthman Taha. Its published by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has become the default Arabic quran text on quran.com. Since it was handwritten, it lends authenticity to your products since the chances of getting aarabs (pronunciation marks) wrong is minimal.You can either get a whole letter (or phrase) wrong but not a single letter or mark wrong, so in case there is a typo it will be very obvious. My guess is that was one of the philosophies of producing a font file for each individual page of the Arabic Mushaf. The method to use it is not that straightforward. If that was not enough, the latest version of quran.com has made it harder. So I explain how you can use it conveniently. You can use it in Photoshop for facebook posts, in video editing software, but the most common use is in documents through MS Word. Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator.
