We are giving you the official tour of our village Tangkup Anyar which is located in Sidemen and is a famous area in Karangasem regency. It is famous for its beautiful scenery which varies from rice terraces, rainforests to rivers. In this video we give you our top 5 locations in the area for beautiful views and a few cool activities to do! First up is 'TAG' or Taman Asta Gangga which is an awesome little activity park and photo location. It has big swings looking out over a beautiful view of farming fields, a flying fox, the famous photo nests and even 'Glamping.' Most of the buildings and furnishings are made from Bamboo which is so beautiful in itself. There is also a restaurant if you get hungry!
Up next are the amazing rice terraces in Wangseang village which is a little closer to Sidemen itself. The terraces go on for miles cascading over the hill side, it is quite a site to see. Make sure to time your trip right so that the rice plants are still green and lively to ensure you get the most out of the view.
The next place is a magical little spot within Tangkup Anyar itself called 'Dedari' which literally means 'angel' in Balinese. Local people say they have seen angels there at night so the place is special to the local villagers. It is a spring water fountain which at first people could use to shower, however the place has since been declared 'holy' so people can only collect the water for drinking at home. It is a gorgeous and serene little spot within the rainforest.
Following that, we show you 'Sungai Telega Waja' or Telega Waja river which is a long river flowing from Muncan village all the way to Klungkung city. The local people shower here daily and it is also used for White Water Rafting which is a super fun adventure sport. We recommend you try it out next time you are on holiday.
Lastly, I show you the beautiful sunset over the mountain side in Tabu village. The sky lights up in gold as the sun sets for the day which is always a gorgeous sight to see.
