Empire Records is a cult classic teen dramedy film released in 1995, directed by Allan Moyle. The film centers around the staff's efforts to save the store from being sold to a big corporate music chain called Music Town. The catalyst is Lucas, one of the employees, who takes the day's earnings to Atlantic City in a misguided attempt to gamble the money and save the store. Unsurprisingly, things go sideways.
