Connection: Both are supporting protagonists in animated series that highly appeal to queer communities. Both of which deal with fighting oppression and rebelling against cruel, genocidal tyrants.
Both have similar plant manipulation abilities, being able to grow all sorts of plants and often using thick, strong vines to grab and throw any foes. They're both known for their extreme kindness. Constantly being able to befriend just about anyone willing to accept it, as they eventually engage in a romance with a former antagonist (Hunter and Scorpia) who had defected from the oppressive ruler's side to the side of the rebellion.
To some, this kindness is seen as a weakness. Admittedly, it does hold them back from their fullest potential. However they show that their heart is not a weakness but an incredible strength.
