For those wondering about the process of making the film and how much AI was used, here's the story of how I put together the video:

"Yesterday after doing some meditation, and after a couple weeks or so of immersing myself in all things AI, I had the idea that it would be cool to do a short film about AI, from the perspective of AI, speaking directly to the viewer, pondering the nature of consciousness, in the style of David Lynch. I wanted to come up with a concept that I could do with a small budget, and by small I mean 0 dollars, apart from the tools I already own and have access to.

I presented my idea to Chat GPT, generated a script, which I made several revisions to and changed the wording of slightly, to make it more my own. Then I used another tool I own to create the voice over (which sounds completely real) for the AI character: Echo. Then, last night, I edited the film using a video library I have access to and then added sound effects and music.

The whole process took around 7 hours. An evening in other words. Now, that may or may not seem like a long time, but considering I’ve never made a short film before and I literally came up with the idea yesterday afternoon and finished the project last night, I’m pretty pleased with the results. Plus, it was a ton of fun to put together and I learned a lot in the process."
