In 1917 a man named L. L. Wagner opened a little battery shop on the corner of San Carlos & First Street that was named, Electric Battery Station. At this time the electric starting motors were starting to replace the world of hand crank motors. The business continued to grow, as many electrical attributes became the specialty of EBS.

Through the next few years the ownership changed witch brought new growth to the business with the addition of the parts department. EBS is a family owned business presently managed by Dale Barnett since 2001

Today Electric Battery Station has spent the last 94 years handling mechanical restoration of classic cars. EBS works to earn and protect each customer's trust in them with great results and customer service. At EBS Dale's wife Jean handles all customers with equal care whether the customer came in person or called via phone. She makes sure that their problems are recorded for Dale to diagnose and find the appropriate solution to.

This helped to spread their word of mouth referrals as well as attract the attention of some magazine editors and various suppliers that Dale had come to know.
