Simon Doty’s journey from the rugged wilderness of Western Canada to the role of a college basketball shooting guard may seem unlikely for an emerging electronic artist, but it’s precisely this unique background that has shaped his sound.

After years honing his craft and making waves in the underground scene, Doty is experiencing a breakout year with the release of his debut LP, Universal Language, on Anjunadeep, complemented by an extensive world tour featuring over 60 dates.

His impressive performances at top-tier venues such as Brooklyn Mirage, The Gorge Amphitheatre, Savaya Bali, Fabric London, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre underscore a remarkable year for the Canadian talent.

As a self-taught gear enthusiast and sound creator, Doty has developed a deep understanding of musical composition and engineering, earning admiration from both peers and industry legends. His signature sound blends gritty analog synthesis with emotive melodies and driving grooves. Influenced by heavyweights like Sasha, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, and Carl Cox, Simon is now proudly counted among their ranks of supporters.
