Here are some examples of Baby milestones:
3-6 mos:
-Babbling to self and others
-Expresses feelings through intonation
-Responds to “no” half the time
6-12 mos: imitates and uses gestures like clapping
-Starts using gestures in songs like clapping in patty-cake
6-9 mos:
-Smiles and laughs during games
-Attends to music or singing
-Vocalizes or attempts to sing along
-Imitates waving bye
-Uses gesture to show wanting to be picked up
-Search for hidden objects
-Turns to sounds that are not visible
-Babbles using at least four different syllables: (Commonly:” ma, da, ga, wa, ya” sounds)
-Shouts to gain attention
-Imitates an uses duplicated sounds (like “boo-boo” or “boo-boo-boo”)
6-14 mos:
Depth perception and caution emerge
9-12 mos:
-Participates in games like “peek-a-boo”
By 12 mos:
-Rolls a ball
-Most children have 2-6 words other than “mama” and “dada”
