When I was a full-time graphic designer I would listen to music all day long while working at the computer. Apple's iTunes used to offer a free "single of the week" of some up-and-coming artist, and one week it was this guy no one had ever heard of named ‪@PaoloNutini‬ with a tune called "New Shoes." It really caught my attention, it was just such a cool song. The first thing I did when I got home was to buy the album (his first). Paolo eventually became one of my favorite singer-songwriters.

This particular song is one of my favorites by him, and it's off his second album.

These music videos all started because I wanted to record some music together with my daughter (vocals and piano) so that we had something nice to watch later on. While I was forming some tentative plans it suddenly occurred to me that my friend Tyler, who is an amazing bassist, lives in the area as well. I called him and asked him if he'd like to be a part of our little family band, and that was the beginning of The Dust Mites!

The Dust Mites are: Me (guitar & vocals) Katie (piano & vocals) and Tyler (bass).
