How to make a heart braid on the Addi King

Yarn base: Big Twist Classic Black
Yarn hearts: Red Heart Retro Stripe or Red Heart Bright Stripe

Notes:
1. Cast in with base yarn add 65 rows.
2. Remove base yarn add heart yarn add 45 rows.
3. Cast off and drop one stitch and stretch tube.
4. Expand the drop stitch all the way down.
5. Mark your cinch strings on both ends with stitch marker.
6. Bring tube together like a beanie.
7. Slip stitch brim about 8-10 stitches.
8. Now pick up color two strands at a time then alternate slipping hook yarn over the yarn just picked up. Repeat going brim base yarn to color yarn until you reach the top.
9. Cinch beanie closed tie knot.
10. Add a Pom if desired.
