Dyeing yarn wound into cakes is really fun because you get a unique asymmetric colorway each time. So much depends on how tightly the yarn is wound, I was curious to see what would happen if I started with presoaked yarn. Unlike my previous cake dyeing tutorials where the balls of yarn were added to the dyebath dry to encourage breaking, it would be possible that the dye would have an easier time penetrating the center of the ball when it started out wet. Check out the experiment to see what happens!
