This TI-30 calculator has been converted to operate on 9 volt batteries. It is fully functioning. Texas Instruments has been making versions of this calculator since 1976 - making this model line one of the most successful calculators of all time.
This calculator features the cool red LED display - later models in the mid 1980s were changed over to the less inspiring liquid crystal displays. The metalized Texas Instruments logo below the display on this TI-30 indicates that it was made in the early production of this model between 1976 and 1978. After that, the chrome metalized paint was removed leaving the logo black.
