In the October update for the Xbox One Microsoft is adding DLNA streaming to the Xbox One Media Player app which opens up the device to be able to play content from media serves on your network. The October update is available for testers and so after my Xbox updated I tried the Media Player Preview app with my NAS server streaming music and video to the Xbox One. The October System Preview is available for users signed up to the Xbox preview program and will roll out to the rest next month.
