The Biggest Surprise: Crowds Are Actually DOWN
Here's something nobody saw coming - Disney World crowds have been significantly lighter than expected in 2025. Wait times are coming in 2.5 points lower than predicted, especially at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. While Epic Universe was supposed to make Disney busier, it's actually had the opposite effect, creating some of the best crowd conditions we've seen in years.

Major Price Increases You Need to Know
Disney raised ticket prices for the first time since 2018, with the cheapest tickets now starting at $119 (up from $109). Holiday tickets at Magic Kingdom can hit $199 - a new record high. But the real shock is Lightning Lane Premier Pass, which can cost up to $449 per person per day during peak times. Food prices, parking, and even the Disney Dining Plan all got more expensive for 2025.

Massive Construction Will Impact Your Trip
Disney's biggest construction projects in years are happening right now. Big Thunder Mountain has been closed since January and won't reopen until 2026. Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America are permanently gone, being replaced by a Cars-themed area called Piston Peak National Park. At Hollywood Studios, they're building an entirely new Monsters Inc. land with Disney's first-ever suspended roller coaster, and Animal Kingdom is getting Tropical Americas to replace DinoLand.

New Experiences and Policy Changes
The good news? Disney's delivered amazing new entertainment including the first nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom in almost a decade, Test Track 3.0, and the adults-only GEO-82 lounge inside Spaceship Earth. But you'll need to navigate new policies like stricter hotel cancellation rules and updated Disability Access Service requirements.
