If you have a Stryker Rejuvenate or ABG2 hip implant, we urge you to go see your doctor and have a blood test. The blood test will test for metal in your blood system.

The issue is that because the Stryker hip implant has a problem with fretting or corroding of the two metals around the stem, that corrosion or fretting causes metal to be released. And the doctors have to look to see whether that metal's being released into your blood stream and whether that release of metal is causing you to suffer any systemic problems or problems with your entire body.

So we urge you to see your doctors and talk to your doctors about that. Get those blood tests. The doctors also may want to actually take x-rays to see how the implant is still lying in your hip itself, or in the, specifically, in the femur.
